~Meditation Bracelets~

People compliment me all of the time on my beautiful meditation bracelets. Some think I wear them as a fashion statement but no that is far from the truth there is a much deeper meaning for me when I wear my bracelets daily. I love my bracelets because not only do they keep me focused and at peace but they also keep me grounded. I have many different bracelets that I have collected over time and what draws me is the chakra stone bracelets. My meditation bracelets of choice are my most favorite chakra beads bracelet with the tiger eye mixed in. The tiger eye beads are mixed in with my chakra stones and it has a buddha head to hold the beads together. I wear this bracelet most of all. The tiger eye keeps me balanced and keeps my thoughts free and clear so that I am able to focus. When I wear my bracelets I am at a high energy and positive state. When choosing my bracelets I am very choosy and I pick the bracelets that have meaning behind it. I choose certain stones that are my favor...

~Time Alone Is Always Needed~

With a busy life that is always hectic on a day to day it is so important to have alone time. Alone time can range from taking solo vacations, to just merely going off to your room with your thoughts and being quiet. The way you define your alone time and the way you want to do it depends on you. Alone time and a peace of mind is something that we all deserve so do not let anyone tell you that you are not entitled to this. In alone time comes peace and the ability to be able to become one with self. I honestly feel like consistent alone time and separation from the world makes for a spiritually strong person. We all need time to think and time to rest our bodies, as well as have time to process our thoughts and feelings, because this is something that on a day to day going through life and the chaos of life, a clear head and a strong spirit is key to keeping it all together. Sanity is everything and to have a peace of mind in a world full of chaos is an awesome thing! When I take ...

~ Do Not Let Obligation Hold You Hostage~

You are not obligated to tell the world what you have going on in your life. There are people who feel like they should know every piece of information that goes on in your life and with your day to day activities. You are under no obligation to disclose anything to anyone. I feel like now that we are in the social media days and it is popular to share our lives with the world that some feel like  sharing is mandatory. It is like some people feel like privacy or picking and choosing what you allow the world to see is a problem. Why is it sometimes frowned upon to be a person who does not feel the need to post often? Why is it a problem when people have private pages and only accept their friends or family members? I see many people make fun or judge these actions but in my opinion I feel the people who are private and choose to only share their moments with a chosen few are awesome. Being private in a world of overexposure to me means you value your space and memories and the...

~Consistency Brings Rewards~

Consistency is something that many people have problems with in so many different areas of life. To be consistent means to be "resistant to movement or separation" meaning that you are committed to something and will not break away from that commitment. Whatever that "something" is in your life you are consistent with following through on completing the task at hand and your focus is so strong that you will not break your stride because you have that tunnel vision. To be consistent means to apply yourself and I feel that is where we as humans sometimes fall short especially myself because I am a professional procrastinator. My procrastination consist of writing my goals down and literally staring at them for days, weeks, sometimes a month or two. I stare at the list and then all of a sudden BOOM I spring into action like a battery was placed inside of me and I am ready and energized to do what I need to do. I have to plan out my consistency if that makes sense ...

~Pay Attention to the Character of a Person~

A person can portray to be so many things to so many people and it may work for a while but the true character eventually comes out and that is what we need to really pay attention to. You can only "fake" for so long before the actions and words you display tell the true story. Lets be clear there are people who are themselves at all times and they put on no fronts nor do they care what anyone has to say. I respect people like this because you know what you are getting opposed to trying to figure out the angle of that person due to the persona they are trying to display. I have always been an open book and stayed true to myself to the point where if you want to know something just ask me I will be honest and tell you. I believe to be honest in a world full of lies and make believe is something that is necessary so I embrace being me and I am unapologetic because I am proud of myself and the way that I am and most important I respect me because I know that I am not putting ...

~Everyone Is Not You~

In life you go through phases that teach you so much about situations and about people. One thing that I have learned is that everyone is not you so embrace this to protect your heart. The people closest to you usually are the ones who do the most damage although sad but very true. You can be the most supportive person to others but as soon as it is your turn to get support you may have a handful of supporters but not nearly the amount that you supported and why is that? They say do not treat people the way they treat you and that is sometimes very hard because I genuinely feel like that is needed in order for some to really understand what it feels like. When we go through things in life and hurt in life the shut down phase is real. So many people have shut down or are bitter or have a cold heart due to the actions of a person or people from their past. When I sit down and think about all of the times I went out of my way to genuinely help people and in return I got stabbed in the ...

~Rules What Are Those~

Life is crazy right. You grow up over the years and you are taught by your parents and elders that you should "follow the rules" or you will get in trouble. Rules are put in place to keep you under control or to keep you from running a muck as some say. It is so interesting to me that as you grow up into the world you grow and you change and you began to really start thinking for self. Rules that were taught to you by your family may or may not be so important anymore to you because you have your own family now and you basically do what works for you. The interesting thing that I see so often is that God forbid you go against any rule that was taught to you when you were younger, and you are around your family or another person that grew up the same way as you. Boy oh boy just watch how things get real. Real judgmental that is. Sad but true. Or at least that is my experience and a few of my family and friends experiences so I can only speak from what I have encountered. ...

~Credit Clean Up~

As I have gotten older and wiser I sometimes think about things that I should have done better in my younger years. One of those things is maintaining my credit and making sure that my score is awesome and there are no old debts attached to my name and credit history. Being that I work in a profession that analyzes the credit of others I have in the last four years made up my mind to make sure my credit history is A1. One of my "side goals" that I spoke about in my previous blog was cleaning up my credit history and making sure that my score is high. The goal was to pay off all old bills that were accumulated from other people that used my name to get things as well as any old bills that I did not choose to pay at the time. I will be honest as to say when I was younger credit was not important to me at all so I did not care. I would get credit cards spend them up and then pay or not pay the bills. Now that I am older and I am more mature and I care about my future and cr...

~Have You Worked On Your Dreams Today~

Working on my dreams and goals is so important to me because I want to make sure I have the very best for myself and my family. I make it a habit to set goals every five years and to give myself time to achieve the goals that I have set. I write my goals down on paper and as I complete these goals I mark them out and I go to the next goal. There is a great pleasure that I get when I am able to mark something off of my list. Aside from my goal list I also have "side" goals that I do not write down but I keep in my head and kind of visualize over it for a while before I put action into it. Over time I was able to work on my side goals which I will elaborate on later on another blog post. Working on your goals is a wonderful feeling and completing these goals is so empowering. The best part of this is when you have children and they see you accomplishing your goals they will know that they can also do this for themselves and they will be happy for you to see you making posi...

~Self Care Is Important~

Self care is something that I have recently embraced because I am a person that is there for everyone and I choose me last. I have learned that when choosing yourself last it can leave you drained and exhausted and that is not a great feeling at all to have. I had to learn to take my time off from the world and I no longer apologize for it because I deserve it and it is needed for us all to be able to function on a daily basis. I think about it like this if you are a person that people depend on then taking a break is needed for yourself and for the people around you. In order to be able to help people and be that listening ear and be that advice giver you must re-charge your battery sort of say. To re-charge is to refresh and charge your energy to the highest frequency possible. In my experience when I am drained I am not myself and it shows in my attitude. My lively and vivacious self is then agitated and not so nice and that is not the person that I like to display or be so takin...

~Social Workers Rock~

Social workers of the world you ROCK! I admire you because you want to provide change for families and you take your job to heart by going that extra mile and making sure your clients are cared for in the best way possible. If you are in a profession to help people I salute you not just in social work but in any area where you feel like you want to make a difference. I would love to become a social worker and will complete my schooling next spring. This is my fourth time in school and although I am way past burnout I must say me and school we have a love hate relationship :) School is where I can interact with my teacher and my classmates and learn about so many different topics of information. I am really enjoying my class that I am in right now because this is the first class where I am really diving deeper into family and children and the role of a social worker. I am excited to learn about all of the information and resources there is to help people and I really love that I am o...

~Why Do We Burn Sage ~

A few people have asked me what is sage and why do people use it well sage is awesome in my opinion and you are able to get many different uses out of sage it just depends on what you need it for. Some people use sage for health reasons, some people use it on their foods, some people use it to burn in their religious or spiritual ceremonies or in their house for good energy and getting rid of negative energy that is around them. Sage is known for its cleansing and medicinal purposes and has been used for centuries all over the world. I am a sage burner and I burn sage in the house on the weekends and I do this consistently because I bless my house and I always want to make sure that the energy is positive and clear. I want to always have a clear and focused mind state and this is the reason for the burning of the sage for me. I have heard that sage is also good for asthma which is a plus for me because I am asthmatic as well as my son. Burning sage is also called "smudging...

~Hurt People Sometimes Hurt People ~

It is so easy to point fingers and judge but it is hard to really stop and think and put yourself in another persons shoes and try to figure out why they do the things that they do. Over the years as social media has gotten more and more popular I have seen the increase of attacks on many different people. I have been the attacker and the attackee (I don't think that is a word but hey we will go with it) I will keep it quite honest with you. I have not always used restraint when a person has come to attack me with words and I am not proud of that but it is a reaction that myself and others take when they feel offended by another person. I have seen stories of social media attacks on the news where some children have committed suicide behind it and this is so sad to me. Before getting online and logging in to social media was popular we had bullying that was done in the physical form through words and actions whether that being at school or at a job or any other public function w...

~Count Your Blessings~

So many people live day to day with regret in their hearts because they feel like they have not accomplished enough in their life and they are a failure because they were supposed to do more and be more. I do feel like this is a normal emotion to have especially when you are at a point in your life where you have hopes and wishes that you have not accomplished yet. It is so easy to get caught up in the regret and feel like wow I should of did more! Trust me I have been there I felt like I should not have waited so long to get my college degrees I should have took school more serious when I was younger and I would have been done with it all by now. I felt like I wasted many years when I could have been in school versus taking a break and just working. With time comes life experiences that mold you into the person that you are to become and I feel like once timing is right you will always move in your own time because everything happens when it is time for it to happen. So many people...

~Hashtags~

Hashtags are awesome because it is a great tool to sell your business products. Usually people search under hashtags to find certain things that they are looking for on the web and this saves so much time and effort. I learned about the importance of using hashtags when I started my online business over four years ago and the results are always great you just have to stay consistent and be able to really push your products on a daily to get the results that you want. Many people I know have shared with me how they see great results from starting to use hashtags. From the use of using the tags they have more views on their posts as well as improved interaction. The tags have greatly improved their business and they have made some great networking friends along the way. My personal experience over the years I can say that I definitely have learned a lot. I can also say that I failed a lot as well. With time comes experience and knowledge of what to do and also what not to do. One th...

~Lets Get Healthy~

The past few weeks I have really been thinking about healthier living and how important it is to eat better and get exercise in. I am a person who will start a routine and then I get sidetracked, usually something out of the ordinary happens to mess up the flow of my routine and I end up feeling oh so defeated. In my defeat comes getting out of the notion to stay on my routine and then I have to start all over again. I have really started to look at myself and see that I am just not a "cold turkey" sort of girl. I can not just stop cold turkey and be successful on this new healthy eating and exercise journey. I am realistic and I know my limits and what I will and will not do. With that being said I now have started to move on my own pace and slack off on things that I once wanted but no longer have a craving for. I had to take baby steps though and over time I wanted these things less and less. The first thing to go was desserts or anything sweet. I love sweets and would ...

~Work Stress Is Real~

Work stress is something that I have never had to deal with until recently and let me tell you it does not feel good at all. I am a person that does not like to stress about anything and I am always relaxed and in good spirits. In fact I pride myself on being upbeat and having a great view of life and day to day activities. I think my problem lies with being surprised. I am a planner and was born a planner. I am a Libra and us Libra's we need some order to survive in life honey let me tell you! Being able to plan my days and weeks and just go with the flow is something that brings me ease. For me the problem lies with being surprised, I do not take surprises well at all, and I am working with that trying to get better with it. Change... well I am able to adapt to change as long as I have a notice of it before it happens. I am not a spur of the moment type of person I need order in my life like I need air to breathe. Surprises add on to my work related stress and it takes a toll o...
