~Salt Detox and Protection Bath~


Salt is a popular season that is used on our food, this is something that we all know, but it has also been said that salt preserves food and it represents the absence of decay. Being that salt has an absence of decay quality it is also known to have a protective and positive energy due to salt being from the sea and the meaning of sea symbolizes peace, calm, balance and spiritual energy. Salt is protective because in spirituality it is known to help rid the home of negative energies and spirits. Salt represents life, purity and positivity and it kills what is “decaying” which would be anything negative or impure.  Salt also has other great uses such as detoxing as well as protecting. I want to briefly speak on the two and tell you how you will be able to use salt to your advantage.  

~Protection~
Salt can be used in your home to get rid of negative energy as well as unwanted ghosts or spirits. Sprinkling salt in your home on a regular as well as keeping vases of water in your home with a few drops of salt in them will help keep your home’s feng shui balanced and fresh. If you want to make a stronger mixture for your home you can add garlic, and red pepper flakes in your home in each window and in each of your corners. To protect yourself you can also bathe in salt as well as other herbs to keep your energy and aura protected and cleansed.

~Salt Detox~
Salt is a great detox and can be used in your bath water to help you with ridding the body of toxins as well as helping with aches and pains. Fill your bathtub with Epsom salt and make sure the water is as warm as you can take. Make sure to sit in the water at least 20-30 minutes. When doing a salt detox the good thing about it is that you are detoxing your body in two ways spiritually and health wise. You can say positive affirmations while in the bathtub detoxing and you can also listen to some soothing music as well as take a white candle and light it in the bathroom with you because the white candle stands for peace and positivity. After you are done with your bath make sure to drink a lot of water to hydrate yourself because you may feel light headed and dizzy and this is because you have removed the toxins and negative energy from your body.

After your detox bath you may feel tired or even dizzy and this is normal because you have to remember that you have cleansed your body of toxins and stress so you may feel lighter afterwards. Drink water and lay down until you start to feel better. Salt detoxing is also a great thing to do before you start a diet because it gives you a boost due to cleaning your body from the outside. Many people also clean their bodies from the inside with salt by drinking salt water which it works as a diuretic by cleaning out old fecal matter from your system.
