~Finding Peace Amid a Chaotic Life~

Chaos, stress, anxiety, having a busy life in general and trying to find the time for rest is something that many of us struggle with. The kids need tending to, dinner needs to be ready before the kids get sleepy, washing clothes, drying clothes, ironing and folding clothes not to mention running errands before you even reach your house. Anything that is done daily or consistently in relation to chores and errands is exhausting so the question is how do we all find peace amidst the chaos?

First off I want to say shout out to all my people in the world who have a busy life and make it look easy hats off to you all you ROCK J . We all have a routine that we move by being that routine is one that is organized or unorganized, the days go by and the earth still turns so we must do the best that we can with getting everything we need done each day for ourselves and for our families Something that I have learned to do is appreciate the quiet time that I do get, whether that is 2 minutes or 20 minutes, when I get a breath of fresh air that is filled with quiet and nothing oh the excitement that I feel inside J

Going to the restroom and taking a shower has now transformed into a magical place of peace for me. It is my safe place sort of say. Away from the noise of my child who is one child but sounds like a total of three in his room J or from doing homework for myself or helping him with his homework, the laundry list of chores and cooking that is done before lights off in the house is unreal.

Let’s be real and honest though when you have kids and always on the move sometimes it is hard to just stop and walk away and go to a quiet room to get your thoughts together. For many that is just unrealistic thinking. Soo decide what your “safe place” will be and get your calm from that place. For me if I am driving or at work and I start to feel overwhelmed with thoughts or emotions I go into my safe place which is in my head where I can visualize a nice serene setting with soothing music and a relaxing woosah mood.

When I am at home I am able to sneak off into the restroom to have my breathing moment in there at least I am able to get a good two minutes of me time right? My all-time favorite place though is the shower especially when I take my phone in there and can listen to some good music of my choosing. The shower is a great place for peace because you can use your water to help you relax.  I turn my water to cold and warm and then back cool again to sort of shock my senses and make me feel more alert and relaxed. I can meditate right there in the shower as well while I am saying my affirmations and visualizing while cleansing my body as well as my mind.
