Ancestor altars are essential to life, why? because they are the tools that connect us to our people. Our ancestors they are our bloodline that have passed and that are now with us in the spiritual while we are in the physical. Honoring you ancestors is important because they are always there for you even in the spiritual. Ancestors help you with problems as well as give you solutions. They share their knowledge with us and they assist you in battle when you are under attack.

Do not get overwhelmed with making your ancestor altar because it is not how it looks that is important, what’s important is having that table or that space that you can go to and spend time with your people. Lighting a candle for them as well as placing certain objects that they loved on the table to show them that you are thinking of them and you want them to be happy while they are on the other side.

Honor them by burning ancestor money so that they are able to alleviate any debts that they left when they were in the physical and so that they can use to their liking over in the spiritual. Make your ancestor altar special to you and them. My altar is a blessing for me because it has my most favorite ancestors on it. Those are my angels and my warriors and they always down to ride. They have my back and I have theirs. It is a wonderful feeling indeed.
